  Tasmania GC is well past it's glory days. With all the native gums on the high side of the course dead or dying, plus many other felled trees which are now stumps, the course is looking very scruffy and average everywhere. The course has no water & all taps for drinking water have been shut off. Cudos to the greens staff as the greens & bunkers are very good though. The clubhouse is also very tired & unloved. I've heard the walk-up green fee is $75 - absolutely outrageous. The green fee should be at most $40. It appears to me the place is being run into the ground- expect to see houses built on it in a few years. Hobart offers much better golf courses nearby including Royal Hobart, Llanherne or Pittwater which are much more pleasant places to play golf. I've posted the same review on Facebook & have received a very aggressive message from a troll by the name of Jack Danyels regarding my appraisal. If this person is the general standard of the membership at TGC then they really are struggling.

  Greens were very good, course generally good standard however some quite weak holes. After Barnbougle and Lost Farm was a doddle and not worth $75
